Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a disorder that some people develop after experiencing a shocking, scary, or dangerous event. This can cause a range of reactions, like fear or "fight or flight" responses.

Most people will recover from these symptoms naturally. Some people will continue to experience problems and may be diagnosed with PTSD. For symptoms to be considered PTSD, they must last more than a month and be severe enough to interfere with functioning in relationships or work.

The compassionate behavioral health specialists at Lincoln Behavioral Health have experience working with individuals who have PTSD and can provide the tools to have quality of life. Call 402-483-4571 for an appointment.
